Itinerary
Arrive at Tashkent International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Start your tour by exploring Amir Timur Square, a grand square named after the famous conqueror, Amir Timur (Tamerlane). Continue to Independence Square, a symbol of Uzbekistan’s independence, and Memorial Square, dedicated to the victims of World War II. Visit the Minor Mosque, known for its beautiful blue domes and peaceful atmosphere.
Later, explore the Ensemble Hazrati Imam, a religious complex that includes Barakh Khan Madrasah, an important Islamic educational institution, and the Maqam of Kaffal al Shashi, the tomb of the famous Islamic scholar. Also, visit the Masjid Hazrati Imam, an important mosque in Tashkent. Conclude the day with shopping at Chorsu Bazaar, the largest and most historic bazaar in Central Asia, where you can find a wide variety of local crafts, spices, and foods. After breakfast, board a scenic train ride from Tashkent to Samarkand, one of the most iconic cities along the ancient Silk Road. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and start exploring the city's landmarks, beginning with the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Amir Timur and his descendants. Continue to the Observatory of Ulugbek, where the famous astronomer conducted his groundbreaking astronomical observations.
Next, visit the awe-inspiring Registan Square, surrounded by three majestic madrasahs: Ulugbek, Tillya Kori, and Sherdor. Continue your exploration with a visit to the Bibi Khanym Mosque, one of the grandest mosques of the era, and shop at Siyob Bazaar, one of the oldest and most vibrant markets in Samarkand. Take a scenic train journey to Bukhara, a city renowned for its well-preserved architectural heritage. Upon arrival, begin your exploration with a visit to the Ark of Bukhara, an ancient fortress that once served as the royal residence. Continue to the Samanids Mausoleum, a significant example of early Islamic architecture, and the Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, said to have been visited by the biblical Job.
Visit the Kalyan Ensemble, which includes the Kalyan Minaret and the Miri-Arab Madrasah, both iconic landmarks of Bukhara. Explore the Magoki-Attori Mosque, an ancient mosque that was originally built on the site of a Zoroastrian temple. Spend the evening at the charming Lyabi-Hauz Complex, a serene area with a pond surrounded by historical buildings, and enjoy an optional folk-show dinner. Overnight stay in Bukhara.
Today, explore the rich Sufi heritage of Bukhara. Visit the Mausoleum of Abdalkhalik al Gijduvani, a revered Sufi saint, and the Bakhautdin Naqshbandi Complex, one of the most important Sufi pilgrimage sites. Continue to the Sitori-i-Mokhi Khosa Palace, the summer residence of the last emirs of Bukhara, showcasing luxurious design and history. Overnight stay in Bukhara.
Take a long but scenic train journey to Khiva, a city famed for its well-preserved ancient architecture. Upon arrival, explore the Djuma Mosque, known for its forest of wooden pillars, and the Oq Mosque, a peaceful religious site. Visit the Madrasahs of Alla-Kulli-Khan and Muhammad Aminkhon, both featuring stunning Islamic architecture.
Make your way to the Pahlavon Mahmoud Mausoleum, a beautiful building dedicated to the legendary champion of Khiva. As the day ends, enjoy the sunset over the ancient city walls of Itchan Kala, Khiva’s UNESCO-listed old town. Overnight stay in Khiva.
