Itinerary
Arrive at Tashkent International Airport and begin your journey through Uzbekistan’s vibrant capital. Visit Amir Timur Square & Museum, dedicated to the 14th-century conqueror, followed by Independence Square, a symbol of Uzbekistan’s freedom. Stop at Memorial Square, honoring those who fought in World War II, and admire the stunning white marble architecture of the Minor Mosque. Explore the spiritual and historical Ensemble Hazrati Imam, including Barakh Khan Madrasah, Maqam of Kaffal al Shashi, and Masjid Hazrati Imam. Enjoy a traditional lunch at Besh Qozon, famous for its Pilov (Osh). Conclude your day with shopping at Chorsu Bazaar, the largest and oldest marketplace in Uzbekistan.
Take a scenic train ride to Samarkand, one of the oldest cities in Central Asia and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, check in and rest before embarking on your city tour. Visit the Gur Emir Mausoleum, the final resting place of Amir Timur. Explore the Observatory of Ulugbek, built by the 15th-century astronomer, and the iconic Registan Square, home to the Ulugbek, Tillya Kori, and Sherdor Madrasahs. Stop at the stunning Bibi Khanym Mosque and end your day at Siyob Bazaar, known for its vibrant local goods and delicacies.
Discover the outskirts of Samarkand, starting with the Mausoleum of Imam Al Bukhari, an important Islamic pilgrimage site. Return to the city for lunch and continue to Shah-i-Zinda, a beautifully intricate necropolis, and the Mausoleum of Khodja Daniyar, believed to hold the remains of Prophet Daniel. Experience traditional craftsmanship at Konigil Village, where you’ll visit the Meros Paper Mill and learn about the ancient techniques of papermaking from mulberry bark.
Take a train to Bukhara, a city rich in history and culture. Visit the Ark of Bukhara, an ancient fortress, followed by the Samanids Mausoleum, one of the finest examples of early Islamic architecture, and the Chashma Ayub Mausoleum, known as the "Spring of Job." After lunch, explore the Kalyan Ensemble, Miri-Arab Madrasah, Magoki-Attori Mosque, and the Madrasahs of Ulugbek and Abdulazizkhan. Spend your evening at the charming Lyabi-Hauz Complex, where you can enjoy an optional folk-show dinner.
Return to Tashkent by train and proceed to the Chimgan Mountains. Visit Amirsoy Ski Resort, a popular destination for winter sports and scenic cable car rides. Enjoy lunch at a mountain restaurant before heading to Lake Charvak, a tranquil alpine reservoir surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. Return to Tashkent in the evening.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to Tashkent International Airport for your flight home, taking with your wonderful memories of Uzbekistan’s history, culture, and natural beauty.
