Itinerary
Gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for the flight to Xi'an, one of the oldest and most historically rich cities in China. Upon arrival there, transfer to the hotel to spend the night in Xi'an.
Start the day with a visit to the City Wall, one of the best-preserved ancient city walls in China, surrounding the old city and providing an insight into Xi'an's strategic importance as a former imperial capital. Next, visit Huajue Lane Mosque, a historic mosque from the 16th century that showcases a unique combination of Islamic and Chinese architecture, giving visitors the opportunity to get to know the Islamic heritage in China. Continue to the Gao Family Residence, a well-preserved traditional residence that serves as a cultural center. Here, visitors can learn about the history of the prestigious Gao family as well as enjoy a Puppet Show, a traditional Chinese art that tells a story using shadow play techniques.
Visit the famous landmark, the Bell Tower, named after the giant bell used in ancient times to mark times and important announcements. Nearby, there is a Drum Tower which features a large drum that was used for the same purpose in ancient times. Next, visit Muslim Street, a busy market area offering a variety of Chinese halal food, handmade souvenirs, and traditional clothing. Continue the tour to the Great Wild Goose Pagoda Square, which houses a historic pagoda built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty to store Buddhist scriptures from India. The square also features Asia's largest musical fountain show. End the day at the Great Tang All Day Mall, a shopping and entertainment complex that celebrates the greatness of the Tang Dynasty with cultural performances and architecture inspired by the dynasty. Start the day by visiting the Terracotta Warriors of Qin Shi Huang, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that houses thousands of life-size statues of soldiers, horses, and chariots buried with China's first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang. The site, discovered by farmers in 1974, remains one of the most important archaeological discoveries of the 20th century. Then, move to Luoyi Ancient Town, an old town with well-preserved architecture, historic gates, and cobbled streets. Visitors can explore old temples, witness cultural performances, enjoy traditional local dishes, and buy souvenirs at antique shops. Overnight in Luoyang.
Start by visiting Dongguan Mosque, the largest and oldest mosque in Luoyang built during the Ming Dynasty. Next, visit Mingtang & Tiantang + Yingtianmen Gate, which was once the political and religious center of ancient Luoyang. Although access to the interior is limited, visitors can admire its magnificent architecture and take interesting photographs. Visit the Lijing Gate, which was the main entrance to the ancient city of Luoyang during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, symbolizing the glory of the past. End the day at Old Town Crossroads, a lively historic street lined with traditional shops, street food stalls, and cultural landmarks, giving visitors a chance to experience Luoyang's rich heritage. Overnight in Luoyang.
Depart to Dengfeng to visit the Shaolin Kung Fu School, a prestigious martial arts academy closely linked to the legendary Shaolin Temple. Visitors can witness a live kung fu performance, learn the basic techniques of Shaolin martial arts, and receive a certificate of participation. This experience provides a deep understanding of the discipline, philosophy, and history of Shaolin kung fu that is over 1,500 years old. Overnight in Sanmenxia.
Start the day at the Sanmenxia Underground Residence, a unique cave house built on the Loess Plain over 4,000 years ago. The residence naturally regulates the temperature, keeping it cool in summer and warm in winter. Visitors can explore these houses and get to know the lifestyle of the local people who still maintain this ancient tradition. Next, visit the Dongxin Street Mosque, an important religious and cultural site for the Hui Muslim community in Xi'an. The mosque reflects the region's strong Islamic heritage. End the day at Xi'an Northwest Trade Center, a modern shopping complex that emphasizes Xi'an's role as a trading hub along the Silk Road. Overnight in Xi'an.
Visit Yuanjia Village + Mini Mosque, a cultural heritage site that preserves the traditional lifestyle of rural China. The village features historic architecture, authentic local dishes, as well as a mini-mosque that symbolizes the presence of the Muslim community in the area. Next, visit the Han City Lake Ruins Park, a park that protects the remains of the Han Dynasty, with a calm lake, ancient architectural elements, and beautiful scenery. Enjoy a leisurely stroll while soaking up the soothing atmosphere of history. End the journey at the Yongxingfang Food Heritage Street, where visitors can enjoy authentic Chinese dishes, watch live cooking demonstrations, and experience a vibrant cultural atmosphere with street performances and traditional architecture. Then, depart for the airport for the return flight to Kuala Lumpur.
