Itinerary
On arrival at Amman Airport, you will be greeted and assisted by a Highlands representative. Our journey begins with a visit to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth located more than 400 meters below sea level. This hypersaline lake is famous for its water that allows visitors to float easily. The mineral-rich black mud of the Dead Sea is also known for its therapeutic and cosmetic benefits, making it a unique natural spa experience. Next, we will visit the Tomb of Prophet Sho'ayb (A.S.), a respected prophet known as Jethro in the scriptures. He was the father-in-law of Prophet Musa (A.S.) and was respected for his wisdom and guidance. After this tour, we will move to Amman, where we will check into the hotel for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we will start a spiritual journey to the Tomb of Prophet Yousha' bin Noon (A.S.). He was a close friend of Prophet Moses (AS) and became the leader of the Children of Israel after the death of Moses. In the scriptures, he is known as Joshua and plays an important role in guiding his people to the Promised Land. We will then head to the Jordan Valley to visit the Tomb of Abu Obaidah Amer Bin Jarrah (R.A.). He was a trusted friend of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and served as an army commander under the rule of Caliph Rashidun. He is also one of the candidates to succeed Caliph Umar. The journey continues to Amman, the lively capital of Jordan. Located in north-central Jordan, Amman is the economic, political, and cultural center of the country. It is one of the most modern cities in the Arab world, attracting tourists from the Arab world and Europe. Its historical importance and the combination of tradition and modernity make it a must-visit destination. After a day of appreciating the spiritual and cultural beauty, we will return to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we will visit the Ashabul Kahfi Cave (As-Hab Al-Kahf), an important site in Islamic and Christian traditions. According to Islamic history, this cave became a refuge for a group of young believers who fled from a tyrannical king. They were put to sleep by God for 309 years as a miracle. Their story is told in Surah Al-Kahf in the Quran. This cave is located in Abu Alanda, an area in Amman. Next, we will head to the Mu'tah Battlefield, where one of the most important battles in the early history of Islam took place in 629 AD. This battle involved the Muslim army led by the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) against the Byzantine Empire. The Muslim army faced a much larger number of enemies, and three of the main Muslim commanders were martyred in this battle. After tracing the history of Mu'tah, we will visit the Tombs of three great companions who were martyred in this battle:
- Zaid Bin Haritha (R.A.) - The beloved companion of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and the first commander in the Battle of Mu'tah.
- Ja'far Al-Tayyar (R.A.) - Known for his bravery, he was the cousin of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) and became the second in command in this battle.
- Abdullah Bin Rawaha (R.A.) - A faithful friend and Islamic poet, he was the third commander who fought hard before martyrdom.
After an inspiring historical and spiritual journey, we will return to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.
On this last day, after breakfast, we will visit the graves of four prominent companions of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.):
- Abdulrahman Bin Awf (R.A.) – A friend known for his generosity and contribution to the early development of Islam.
- Bilal Bin Rabah (R.A.) – The first muezzin of Islam known for his steadfast faith and melodious call to prayer.
- Derar Bin Al-Azwar (R.A.) – A valiant warrior and loyal friend of the Prophet (S.A.W.).
- Sharhabeel Bin Hasnah (R.A.) – A key military leader in the early Islamic conquests.
After this meaningful visit, we will head to Amman Airport for our return flight, marking the end of a blessed journey through Jordan's rich Islamic heritage.
