Itinerary
Upon your arrival at Jeddah, our representative will warmly greet you at the airport and take you to your hotel where you can settle in and rest. Jeddah is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city, historically a port that has seen influences from traders, artists, and pilgrims bound for Makkah. Over time, Jeddah has become a bustling hub, famous for its modern amenities, gleaming hotels, and cultural significance.
we will begin our tour with a visit to Jeddah Corniche and Jeddah Waterfront, two beautiful spots along the Red Sea offering great views and relaxing strolls. We’ll then head to the Tayebat Museum in the Al Faisaliyah district, where you’ll explore a fascinating representation of Jeddah’s history. The museum’s structure itself is an architectural marvel, reflecting traditional Hijazi architecture with intricate latticework and coral stone masonry. The museum's exhibits cover Jeddah’s history, Saudi Arabia, and the broader Arabian Peninsula, with a particular emphasis on Islamic heritage.
Following the museum, we will visit The House of Islamic Arts, a museum showcasing over a thousand pieces of Islamic art that span 15 centuries, from regions including China, India, Maghreb, and Andalusia. After the cultural immersion, we will have lunch at one of Jeddah’s local restaurants serving traditional dishes.
In the evening, we’ll explore Al Balad, the historic center of Jeddah, founded in the 7th century and now a UNESCO World Heritage site. We’ll walk through its narrow, winding streets, marveling at the unique wooden window designs, coral stone buildings, and doors made from sea shells. You’ll also learn about the historical significance of Al Balad as a trade hub and the passageway for pilgrims heading to Makkah. We will visit one of the old mosques, some of which have been in use for over 300 years.
we will board a bullet train from Jeddah to Madinah (1 hr 50 min). After checking in to Madinah, we will visit two of the most significant Islamic landmarks: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi (The Prophet's Mosque), where Prophet Muhammad is buried, and Quba Mosque, the first mosque ever built in Islam. Both mosques will be viewed from the outside only.
Next, we’ll walk down a pedestrian-friendly street with many traditional food stalls, where we’ll enjoy lunch. After lunch, you’ll be invited to experience Saudi hospitality with a visit to a local home, where you will enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal and learn about Saudi family life, including the design of homes made for large family gatherings.
we will travel by car from Madinah to AlUla, a 3-hour 37-minute journey. Our first stop will be Hegra (Madain Saleh), a UNESCO World Heritage site and the most significant Nabatean site in Saudi Arabia after Petra. Hegra features rock-cut tombs with impressive facades that showcase the advanced craftsmanship of the Nabateans. The site is set in a captivating desert landscape, offering a serene and mystical atmosphere.
Next, we’ll visit Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil), a stunning natural rock formation shaped like an elephant, carved by millions of years of wind and water erosion. After this, we’ll enjoy the mesmerizing sunset at the nearby café and restaurant, offering stunning views of the rock formations.
we will explore Dedan, the ancient capital of the Dadanite and Lihyanite Kingdoms. This archaeological site includes tombs, inscriptions, and excavation sites that provide insight into these ancient civilizations. We will then visit Ikma Mountain (Jabal Ikmah), often described as an open-air library, with thousands of inscriptions from early Arabic civilizations.
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the AlUla Oasis Trail, a 3-kilometer walking trail through lush palm groves, with stunning views and perfect spots for photographs. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local farm, where you can experience the flavors of AlUla's traditional dishes and learn about local agricultural practices.
Later, we’ll take part in a Camel Caravan Experience, traveling through the desert with traditional Arabic coffee and tea, giving you a taste of how traders and travelers once used camels as their main mode of transport.
We will embark on a scenic trip to Wadi Dissah, a beautiful 15-kilometer-long canyon located south of Tabuk. The stunning cliffs reach over 500 meters tall and offer breathtaking views. We will enjoy a traditional lunch in the valley and then take a walking tour to explore this natural wonder. As we journey through the canyon, you will see abundant vegetation, including palm trees and lush grass, nourished by an underground water stream.
Takes us to the Bajda Mountains, where we will experience the desert in its purest form. We will explore the narrow passages, red dunes, and dramatic rock formations, including Ship Rock, which features ancient inscriptions that date back more than 1,300 years. We'll also visit Jubb Canyon, a fascinating desert landscape, and see The Great Arch, a spectacular natural rock formation. Afterward, we will travel to Tabuk for the night.
We will fly from Tabuk to Riyadh. Upon arrival, we will visit Diriyah, the historic district and original capital of the first Saudi state. Al Turaif quarter in Diriyah is a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers insight into the country’s rich heritage. Next, we will explore the National Museum in Riyadh, where you will learn about Saudi Arabia’s history through a variety of exhibits, including artifacts from different periods of the kingdom’s past.
We will continue our exploration of Riyadh, visiting the Al Masmak Fortress, a historical fortification built in 1865. The fortress is famous for being the site of the 1902 raid by Ibn Saud. Inside, you’ll find fascinating exhibits on the history of Saudi Arabia, including old photographs and films about the kingdom's unification. Afterward, we will visit Souq Al-Zal, a traditional market known for selling antique goods, jewelry, Oud (Arabic perfume), and traditional dresses.
Will give us more time to explore Riyadh. We will visit key cultural and historical sites, such as the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, which offers insights into the development of modern Saudi Arabia. We will also explore additional districts and landmarks around the city.
You will have some free time to enjoy the city on your own, shop, or relax before your departure.
Today marks the end of your journey. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back home.
