Itinerary
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to Kandy, the cultural center of Sri Lanka. En route, visit Pinnawala Elephant Sanctuary (Entry Fee: USD 5.00 per person), the world's first elephant sanctuary established to care for orphaned and injured elephants. Watch these elephants being bottle-fed and bathed in the nearby river, an unforgettable experience. Kandy, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is nestled among green hills and surrounds a tranquil lake. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a city tour and shopping in Kandy. The tour begins with a visit to the Temple of the Buddha Tooth Relic (Entrance Fee: USD 7.00 per person), one of the holiest Buddhist temples in the world. This temple houses Buddha's tooth relic and is an important pilgrimage site. Next, visit the Peradeniya Royal Botanical Garden (Entrance Fee: USD 10.00 per person), which houses an extensive collection of orchids, exotic plants, and towering palm trees. Take a leisurely stroll around Kandy Lake, visit a woodcarving workshop, as well as a museum and gem shop to learn more about Sri Lanka's famous gemstones, including blue sapphires. On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, known as "Little England", take a city tour including a visit to Gregory Lake, a beautiful location for boating and picnicking.
