Welcome to Riyadh, the birthplace of modern Saudi Arabia, where traditional charm blends with contemporary innovation. The city is steeped in history, with its forts, palaces, and museums offering a glimpse into its rich heritage. Colorful souks add vibrancy to this modern metropolis.
Your accommodation for the night will be at the Braira Hotel Riyadh (ررا دق, Braira Hotel), located on Takhassusi Street. Contact number: +966 11 225 4221.

Day 2

The day begins with a journey into the heart of Riyadh's history and modernity.

We start at Al Masmak Fortress, an imposing structure surrounded by sand, dating back to 1865. This fortress played a key role in the unification of Saudi Arabia during the daring 1902 raid by Ibn Saud. The exhibits here, including maps and photographs from the early 20th century, vividly recount Saudi Arabia’s historical journey. Nearby, the bustling Souq Al-Zal, one of the city’s oldest traditional markets, offers an array of treasures, from traditional dresses and antiques to Oud, an Arabic perfume, and intricate jewelry.

Next, we visit the iconic Kingdom Tower, a 99-story skyscraper that was once the tallest in Saudi Arabia. Its unique design, featuring a "hole" near the top, makes it an architectural marvel.

Lunch is a delightful affair at a local family home, where you’ll experience Saudi hospitality and enjoy a traditional home-cooked meal.

In the afternoon, we head to Ad Diriyah, the original capital of the first Saudi state. The Al Turaif District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcases stunning mud-brick architecture and offers a window into the nation's heritage.

To end the day, we visit another local residence for a deeper dive into Saudi culture. This intimate experience reveals insights into family traditions, hospitality, and the architectural design of Saudi homes, tailored to large gatherings.

After a morning flight to AlUla, we explore the historical AlUla Old Town. Established in the 12th century, this settlement served as a key stop along the pilgrimage route from Damascus to Makkah. Its closely built houses, once accessed by 14 gates, reflect its defensive priorities and cultural significance.

Later, we visit Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil), a stunning natural sandstone formation shaped over millions of years by wind and water erosion. The surrounding area is equally captivating, with a fine-sand desert and rocky outcrops. A nearby underground cafe and restaurant create a magical ambiance, especially at sunset.

Day 4

The day begins with a visit to Madain Saleh (Hegra), Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of its most iconic attractions. Built by the Nabataeans, this ancient city boasts 111 monumental tombs, with the largest reaching 21.5 meters tall. The inscriptions on these tombs provide fascinating insights into the region's history.

Lunch is at a local farm, where you’ll savor traditional dishes and support the local community. A farm tour follows, showcasing the unique agricultural practices and produce of AlUla.

In the afternoon, we embark on a Camel Caravan Experience, evoking the historical mode of transportation used in Arabian trade. Finally, we head to the Harra Viewpoint, where the black lava terrain of Harrat Uwayrid offers breathtaking views of Dadan, AlUla Old Town, and the surrounding oasis at sunset.

Day 5

A scenic drive takes us from AlUla to Madinah, the second-holiest city in Islam. Here, we visit two significant sites: the Holy Mosque and the Quba Mosque. The former is the burial site of the Prophet Mohammed, while the latter holds the distinction of being the first mosque ever built. Both will be viewed from the outside.

Other stops include the Hijaz Railway Station, a remnant of the Ottoman-era railway, and an art center showcasing Madinah’s cultural contributions. Dinner at a local restaurant concludes the day, followed by check-in at the Y Platinum Hotel, located on Jebar Bin Sakhr Street.

A comfortable train ride takes us to Jeddah, where we delve into its history at Al Balad, the city’s historic district. Founded in the 7th century, Al Balad is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique coral stone architecture. During the tour, you’ll explore traditional houses, ancient mosques, and vibrant markets selling local delicacies like Sobia and Balilah. The tour also includes a visit to the first hotel and school built in Jeddah.

In the evening, check in at the Hyatt House Jeddah Sari Street, offering modern comforts in the heart of the city.
