Itinerary
Upon arrival in Riyadh, you will be warmly welcomed at the airport by our guide, who will be holding a sign for easy identification. From there, you will be taken to your hotel to rest and recharge. Riyadh, the birthplace of modern Saudi Arabia, is a city where the charm of its historic roots meets the ambitions of the 21st century. This vibrant metropolis is a thriving hub of financial, business, and cultural activities, boasting an array of historical forts, palaces, museums, and bustling souks.
The day begins with a visit to Diriyah, the original capital of the first Saudi state. This historic site, with its beautifully restored Al Turaif district, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site offering a glimpse into Saudi Arabia’s rich heritage. Next, you will visit the National Museum at the King Abdulaziz Historical Center, where exhibits trace the history of the region through artifacts from various eras.
After a lunch break, the tour continues to Al Masmak Fortress, a 19th-century mud-brick fort steeped in history. Inside, you’ll find exhibits such as old maps and photographs of Saudi Arabia. Nearby is Souq Al-Zal, one of the oldest traditional markets, where you can shop for antiques, traditional clothing, and the aromatic Oud perfume.
Departing from Riyadh, the journey includes a stop at Ushaiger Heritage Village, a quaint settlement surrounded by palm groves. Dating back 1,500 years, this living museum reflects the traditional lifestyle of old Saudi Arabia, with its mud-brick houses and narrow alleys.
Upon arriving in Buraydah, you’ll visit the Al Bassam Heritage House, a stunning example of traditional Najdi architecture, and explore the Al Musawkaf Traditional Market, a historical marketplace offering authentic cultural experiences.
The day begins with a visit to the world’s largest Camel Market, an authentic and lively experience showcasing the significance of camels in Saudi trade and culture. Then, the journey to Hail begins.
In Hail, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before exploring A'arif Fort, a historic mud-brick structure perched atop a mountain, offering breathtaking views of the city. Later, you’ll travel to Jubbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for ancient rock carvings depicting scenes of life and trade from thousands of years ago.
The highlight of the day is a visit to Madain Saleh (Hegra), Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. This archaeological marvel features 111 monumental Nabatean tombs carved into sandstone. Next, you’ll visit Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil), a striking natural sandstone formation shaped over millions of years. Enjoy the serene surroundings, complete with a café and underground seating to watch the sunset.
The tour begins with the Prophet’s Mosque Expansion Exhibition, showcasing the historical and architectural evolution of this revered site. A walk along Qiba Street connects you to the Holy Mosque and Qiba Mosque, significant Islamic landmarks. This day offers insights into Madinah’s historical development and a chance to savor local foods at traditional shops.
In Jeddah, start with the Jeddah Corniche and waterfront before heading to the Tayebat Museum, which chronicles the city’s 2,500-year history. Next, visit the House of Islamic Arts, showcasing Islamic artifacts from across the world. After lunch, you’ll explore Al-Balad, Jeddah’s historic district. Stroll through its narrow streets, admire unique architecture, and taste local snacks such as Sobia and Balilah.
Relax or enjoy an optional boat trip in the Red Sea, featuring snorkeling, swimming, and sunbathing amid vibrant coral reefs.
On your final day, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your departure, bidding farewell to Saudi Arabia.
