The journey starts from Paris towards the southern region of France, Avignon, which is located in the heart of the Provence region. The day begins by exploring two important landmarks in Avignon, the Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes) and the Pont Saint-Bénézet, a historic bridge known as the Pont d'Avignon.
