Begin your journey by crossing the border to meet your Tajik guide and drivers. Travel to Penjikent, often referred to as the Pompeii of Central Asia. En route, visit the Sarazm ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 4th millennium BCE. Continue the journey into the mountains to explore the breathtaking Seven Lakes. Drive up to the sixth lake and take a two-hour hike to the serene seventh lake, Hazorchashma. Spend time enjoying the lake’s tranquil beauty and wandering along its shore before hiking back and returning to Penjikent. On the way, stop at local villages and enjoy lunch at a guesthouse in Noffin village.

After breakfast, transfer to Voru Village, one of the most iconic villages in the Zerafshan Valley. Situated on the left bank of the Archmaydon River, Voru is known for its unique terraced architecture, where rooftops of houses serve as yards for the houses above. Meet local families, experience their warm hospitality, and gain insight into their traditional way of life. Continue to Gazza Village, where you’ll enjoy dinner and stay overnight in a guesthouse.

Set off for Iskanderkul, the triangular lake named after Alexander the Great. The scenic drive includes a stop for lunch in Sarvoda. Upon arrival, admire the lake’s extraordinary beauty and take short hikes to the nearby Iskander Waterfall and the enchanting Snake Lake. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight in cozy cottages along the lake shore, surrounded by the serene mountain landscape.

Leave the mountains behind as you journey to Khujand, an ancient city on the Syr Darya River in the Fergana Valley. Stop in Istaravshan, founded by Cyrus the Great, to explore its rich cultural heritage. Visit blacksmith workshops, meet skilled woodcarvers and comb makers, and see historical landmarks such as Kok Gumbaz Mosque and Hazrat Shoh Mosque. Continue to Khujand, where you will check in at your hotel and spend the evening.

Begin your day with a visit to Panjshanbe Bazaar, Tajikistan’s largest market, followed by a tour of Maslihaddin Mosque, the Lenin Monument, and Arbob Cultural Palace. Enjoy a traditional lunch at Anora House Museum, where you can experience the charm of a traditional Tajiki home and connect with the welcoming hosts. Later, visit the Khujand Atlas Factory, once a leading silk textile producer, to learn about the production process and purchase beautiful atlas fabrics as souvenirs. Afterward, transfer to Tashkent with an approximate three-hour drive to conclude your Tajikistan adventure.
