Itinerary
Gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for the flight to Beijing.
The tour in Beijing begins with a visit to the Bird Nest Stadium, an iconic landmark of the 2008 Olympic Games. This stadium is famous for its unique design that resembles a bird's nest, produced from a steel structure woven into a lattice-like pattern. Participants also had the opportunity to take photos at the Water Cube, which is the location of the Olympic event in the shape of a cube of soap bubbles and which has now been renovated into a modern water park and recreational area.
Next, participants prayed at the Niujie Mosque, the oldest mosque in Beijing built in 996 during the Liao Dynasty. This mosque displays a combination of Islamic and Han architecture, as well as keeping the Al-Quran book that is over 300 years old. Although almost destroyed during the invasion of Genghis Khan's army in 1215, it was successfully restored in 1443 under the Ming Dynasty. The trip continues with shopping at Muslim Supermarket, which offers a variety of halal items such as spices, fresh vegetables, dairy products, bread and various nuts such as chestnuts and almonds. The day ends with an overnight stay in Beijing.
The tour in Beijing on the third day started with a visit to Tiananmen Square, a historic square that witnessed many important events including the tragedy of the pro-democracy student demonstration in 1989. In this area, participants can see iconic buildings such as the Monument to the People’s Heroes, Great Hall of the People, Gate of Heavenly Peace, as well as Mausoleum of Mao Zedong and National Museum of China. The journey continues to the Forbidden City, a palace complex over 600 years old that was built in 1406 during the Ming Dynasty. Surrounded by an 8-meter-high wall and a large moat, this forbidden city was the center of the emperor's government until 1924, and was divided into two main parts, the Outer Court and the Inner Court. Nandouya, one of the oldest mosques in Beijing featuring traditional Chinese architecture mixed with Islamic influences. Afterwards, the visit continues to the Herbal Medicine Centre which introduces traditional treatments based on herbs, acupuncture and Chinese medicinal herbs. In the afternoon, participants witnessed the Acrobatic Show, an impressive performance full of illusions, mysticism and thrilling action. The day ends by enjoying the beautiful atmosphere of the Liangma River, where the neon light reflection on the surface of the water creates a romantic and soothing scene. Overnight in Beijing.
A day of sightseeing in Beijing begins with a visit to the Great Wall of China, one of the wonders of the world built since the 7th century BC and extended by emperors until it reaches more than 21,000 km. Participants will be taken on a tour of the Juyongguan Great Wall section, built in 1368 by the Ming Dynasty, famous for its beautiful scenery and military history. Next, participants prayed at the Fayuan Mosque, an old mosque built hundreds of years ago by the Qing Dynasty, before continuing to visit the Burning Cream Center, a traditional Chinese medicine center that uses traditional herbal ingredients for health and treatment.
In the afternoon, participants had free time for sightseeing and shopping at Wangfujing Street, Beijing's largest and most famous shopping area since the Ming Dynasty. For visits between the months of December to February, participants also have the opportunity to enjoy the experience of playing in the snow at the Ski Resort with an additional cost for the rental of ski clothing (RM100), ski equipment (RM250) and sleds (RM60 – optional). A tour in Beijing will take participants to the Summer Palace, the largest royal park in China known for its beautiful landscape, vast lake and classical architecture. It used to be a royal retreat, but is now a major tourist attraction. Participants will also be taken to see how to make Jade which is very valuable in the Chinese community tradition at the Jade Center.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to shop at Hongqiao Market, a famous trading center that offers high quality pearls, gemstones, silk, electronics and various interesting souvenirs. The tour continues to the Silk Market, a 6-story building with over 1,000 shops selling silk clothing and various items at negotiable prices. Finally, participants will be taken to The Place, an iconic location with the World's Largest LED Screen displaying animations, advertisements and stunning artistic visuals. Overnight in Beijing.
Take a morning flight back to Kuala Lumpur, marking the end of a memorable trip in Beijing.
