Itinerary
Gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to board the flight to Chengdu, China. Once there, proceed to the hotel for check-in. Rest and spend the night in Chengdu.
After breakfast, depart for Chongqing, a city famous for its beautiful landscape and cultural heritage. Visit the 18th Staircase, a historic area with ancient stone steps and narrow alleys that offer beautiful views of the city and river. Next, stroll through Jiao Chang Kou, a district famous for halal food such as kebabs, noodles, and local street food. Enjoy the uniqueness of Jie Fang Bei, the main commercial and entertainment center in Chongqing that houses the Liberation Monument and neon-lit streets at night. Then, visit the Kui Xing Building, an unusual building that appears to be on the ground floor but is actually located on the 22nd floor due to the hilly landscape of Chongqing. Walk across the Qiansimen Bridge, a marvel of modern architecture that connects Yuzhong and Jiangbei districts and offers a mesmerizing night view. Explore the history and culture of Chongqing by visiting Ciqikou Ancient Town, an ancient town featuring cobbled streets, traditional architecture and charming river views. Next, visit the Chongqing Mosque, an important site for the Islamic community there which has unique architectural features. Witness the wonders of the Liziba Monorail, a train system that passes through residential buildings, reflecting the innovative urban planning of Chongqing. Stroll down Danzishi Ancient Street, which is lined with historic buildings, boutique shops and charming cafes. Overnight in Chongqing.
Continue your visit to the modern attractions of Chongqing, starting with Chaotianmen Market, a wholesale center offering a variety of goods at reasonable prices. Visit Raffles City Piazza, a landmark complex designed by renowned architect, Steven Holl, which houses shopping malls, offices, and residences. Next, enjoy the experience at Chongqing Zoo (Panda Base), a special conservation center where visitors can see giant pandas in their natural habitat. Overnight in Chongqing.
Before heading back to Chengdu, visit Eling Test Bed 2, a cultural center that combines history, modern art, and stunning city views. Stop at Dewan Auditorium Rakyat, a grand building inspired by traditional Asian palace architecture and located in Dataran Rakyat. Upon arrival in Chengdu, visit the Broad and Narrow Lane, a historic district featuring traditional Sichuan-style buildings, local shops, teahouses, and restaurants. In the evening, watch a mesmerizing performance of Sichuan Opera Face Swap, where the actors rapidly change masks in a spectacular theatrical performance. Overnight in Chengdu.
On the last day in Chengdu, visit Taikoo Li, a luxury shopping area that combines traditional Chinese courtyard architecture with international brand stores and gourmet restaurants. Then, stroll down Chunxi Street, a lively shopping location with a wide selection of local boutiques and international brands. The tour continues to the Imperial City Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in Chengdu known for its impressive combination of traditional Chinese and Islamic architecture. Finally, off to the airport for the return flight to Kuala Lumpur, marking the end of a memorable trip in Chengdu and Chongqing.
