Itinerary
Welcome to Osaka, a vibrant metropolis, famous for its mix of modernity and history and delicious street food. Upon arrival at Kansai International Airport (KIX), complete immigration procedures before proceeding to the hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city at your leisure—perhaps try local dishes like takoyaki and okonomiyaki at one of the famous food courts. Get enough rest for the adventure ahead!
Start your trip with a visit to Nara, Japan's first capital city rich in cultural heritage. The first destination is Nara Deer Park, home to hundreds of tame deer that are considered sacred messengers in the Shinto faith. Enjoy the unique experience of feeding these animals while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit places of worship before enjoying lunch with local dishes.
Next, return to Osaka to explore the most iconic historical landmark, which is Osaka Castle. This magnificent fortress, built in the 16th century, played an important role in the unification of Japan. Stroll around the expansive park and admire the stunning architecture and historical exhibits displayed within.
End your day at Namba, Osaka's busiest entertainment district. Enjoy the lively atmosphere of Dotonbori Street, known for its colorful neon signs and diverse dining options. Don't miss the opportunity to take a photo with the Glico Running Man Billboard, an iconic symbol of Osaka's energy and vibrancy.
Today, you will depart for Kyoto, Japan's former imperial capital known for its historic temples, traditional wooden houses, and beautiful gardens. The first visit is to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, where towering rows of bamboo create a peaceful atmosphere. Stroll this bamboo-lined path and experience Kyoto's unique natural tranquility.
Next, visit Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located on the hillside. This historic temple, which dates back to 778 AD, is famous for its wide wooden platform, offering a very beautiful panoramic view of Kyoto, especially during spring and autumn. The cultural journey continues to the Higashiyama District, a charming area filled with traditional teahouses, historic streets, and souvenir shops. Enjoy the beauty of classic Kyoto as you stroll down cobblestone lanes lined with wooden machiya houses.
Before returning to Osaka, stop by the Umeda Sky Building, one of the city's most impressive architectural landmarks. Climb up to the Floating Garden Observatory, where you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view of the city of Osaka, the perfect way to end your visit in Kyoto.
Enjoy a free day to explore Osaka at your leisure. You can shop in popular areas such as Shinsaibashi, which offers luxury brands, or at Tenjinbashisuji Shopping Street, Japan's longest shopping arcade featuring a variety of local boutiques and eateries. For theme park lovers, exciting options await at Universal Studios Japan (USJ) (Option: RM 290), where you can enjoy a variety of movie-based attractions, thrilling games, and the magical world of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Alternatively, if you are traveling in winter, you can choose to spend the day at a snow resort, where various activities such as ice skating and skiing await you.
On the last day, check out of the hotel and depart for Kansai International Airport (KIX) for your return flight. Take the last minute to reminisce about the wonderful experiences, cultural discoveries, and culinary delights that made your Osaka, Nara, and Kyoto adventures so special. Goodbye Japan, and take home sweet memories during this 5-day trip!
