Southern Italy itinerary includes Pompei, Naples, Capri, Amalfi Coast, Matera, Alberobello and Ostuni, highlighting ancient Roman history, coastal beauty, unique architecture and UNESCO world heritage.
Itinerary
On arrival at the destination, check into the hotel to rest. The whole day is completely free time to relax, adapt to the environment and enjoy the hotel facilities at your convenience.
After breakfast, the tour begins to the ancient city of Pompeii, which was buried due to a volcanic eruption in 79 AD and was rediscovered around 1800. This tour seems to take you back to the ancient Roman city life bustling with streets, people and past culture. Next, leave for Naples, the birthplace of pizza. In addition to exploring the local attractions, you will stop at Gran Caffè Gambrinus, an iconic cafe known as one of the most beautiful cafes of all time. Overnight in Naples or a nearby city.

After gathering, the tour continued to Caserta Palace, which was called the “Italian Versailles”. Built in 1752, the palace features magnificent Baroque architecture with extensive and beautiful gardens. It was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Afterwards, the journey continues to Sorrento, a charming coastal town with a pleasant climate and made famous by the classic Neapolitan song “Torna a Surriento”. Overnight in Naples or the surrounding area.

After breakfast, take the ferry to the Island of Capri (ferry ticket included, about 1 hour journey). This island has been the choice of aristocrats, artists and thinkers since ancient Roman times, and is nicknamed the "Island of the Sirens". Enjoy the view of the crystal clear blue sea and the beauty of natural erosion. Weather permitting, a visit to the famous Blue Grotto will be arranged. The journey continues by ferry to Salerno to spend the night in Salerno or a nearby town.

Today we will walk along the Amalfi Coast, which is renowned as one of the most beautiful coastlines in the world, with stunning steep cliffs. Arrive at the city of Amalfi, the main city and the origin of the name of the Amalfi Coast. This medieval village is located at the foot of a high cliff and is filled with narrow alleys, relaxed cafes and a romantic atmosphere that evokes nostalgia. Overnight in Salerno or the surrounding area.
The tour continues to Matera, a unique destination known as a hidden paradise, famous for its ancient caves, rich history and enchanting ancient atmosphere. These caves have been converted into hotels, restaurants and shops, making Matera a major attraction for tourists and filmmakers. Some scenes of the movie James Bond 007: No Time To Die were also filmed here. The Sassi di Matera area was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993. Afterwards, depart for Bari for the night.
Visit Ostuni, known as the “White Mountain City”, with its Renaissance and Baroque architecture and white houses lining winding lanes. Next, to Alberobello, a unique town that looks like a fairytale village, famous for its mushroom-shaped stone houses known as Trulli. The architecture is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and many of the old buildings are now converted into souvenir shops, guesthouses and restaurants. Overnight in Bari or nearby areas.
