Itinerary
On arrival at Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, you will be greeted by a tour guide. The tour begins with Tsunami Mass Graves, the burial site of victims of the 2004 earthquake and tsunami. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and perform Zuhur Prayers at Al-Makmur Mosque (Oman). Continue the tour to Fishing Boat on The Roof, a boat that rested on top of a house due to the tsunami, and Dome in The Rice Field, an 80-ton mosque dome that was carried 2.5 kilometers into the rice fields. Stop by Central of Acehnese Cakes to try traditional cakes. Visit the Cut Nyak Dhein House, a replica museum of the famous female warrior's house, followed by Asr prayer at the Rahmantullah Mosque. Enjoy the beauty of Lampu'uk Beach / Lhoknga Beach before performing the Maghrib prayer at Baiturrahman Mosque. End the day with dinner at a local restaurant and hotel check-in.
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour starts at the Aceh State Museum, featuring a collection of Acehnese history and culture, then to the Floating Electric City Power Station (PLTD Apung 1), a floating power plant that is now a tsunami memorial museum. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue to Traditional House of Aceh, Admiral Cheng Ho's Bell (Donya Chakra), and Tomb of Sultan Iskandar Muda as well as Gunongan, a mini mountain as a symbol of love for Princess Phang. Shop at Aceh Market and visit Baiturrahim Mosque and Ulhee Lheue Beach. Dinner at a local restaurant and return to the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel, check out, and transfer to the airport for the onward flight. See you on the next visit.
