Itinerary
On arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, you will be greeted by a local representative with Thai hospitality. After the immigration process is completed, directly sent to the hotel for check-in and rest. Enjoy your free time to explore around the city of Chiang Mai or try local dishes at the famous night market.
After breakfast, the journey continues to Chiang Rai which is famous for its natural beauty. Stop at Mae Taeng Elephant Camp, where you can see an entertaining elephant show and experience an elephant ride around the village. Next, enjoy bamboo rafting on a calm river and ox-cart ride while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the countryside. Then, the tour continues to Long Neck Village, a traditional village of the Karen tribe famous for its long-necked women – a unique cultural experience. Dinner at a local restaurant before hotel check-in in Chiang Rai. At night, spend some time strolling through the lively Chiang Rai Night Bazaar with a variety of local goods and souvenirs.
Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will be taken on a tour to Mae Sai Border, Thailand's northernmost border facing Myanmar. Here, you can see the atmosphere of cross-border trade and buy interesting local goods. The journey continues to the Golden Triangle, the meeting point between three countries – Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos along the majestic Mekong River. Afterwards, visit Chiang Rai's iconic landmark Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) – a stunning white temple with extraordinary architecture designed by local artists. Enjoy your free time at the Chiang Rai Night Bazaar before returning to the hotel for the night.
Additional options: cross into Myanmar or take a boat ride down the Mae Khong River for a panoramic view of the border of the three countries.
After breakfast, depart back to Chiang Mai. On the way, stop at Mae Kajan Hot Spring to relax and soak your feet in the natural mineral water. Then, visit Maekampong Village – a more than 100-year-old village known for its peaceful atmosphere, green nature and The Giant Chiang Mai Café with a beautiful view from the top of the trees. After lunch, explore the historic Chiang Mai Old City with Tha Pae Gate, an ancient gate that is a symbol of the city. End the tour with a stop at a traditional handicraft shop, where you can see demonstrations of local leather, gem, honey and sweet making. At night, enjoy the bustling atmosphere at the Chiang Mai Night Bazaar before going to the hotel for the night.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time for last minute shopping or relaxing before being sent to the airport for the flight back to the motherland with beautiful memories from northern Thailand.
