Itinerary
Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport on flight MH388 and be warmly greeted by your tour guide. The first tour starts at Tian'anmen Square, the largest square in the world which is a symbol of the pride of the Chinese people. Next, visit the Forbidden City, a magnificent palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties that holds thousands of historical stories of past emperors. After enjoying a Halal lunch, enjoy the Halal Peking Duck Dinner — an iconic dish of Beijing that is famous all over the world. Overnight at Holiday Inn Express Dongzhimen or equivalent.
After breakfast, leave for the station to board the high-speed train to Hohhot. Once there, be greeted by a local guide and head to the beautiful Xilamuren Grassland, about a two-hour drive. Your arrival will be celebrated with a traditional Mongolian welcome ceremony, accompanied by a refreshing feast of horse milk. Enjoy a horseback riding experience while admiring the beauty of nature, or relax enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this vast meadow. At night, join the lively Mongol bonfire party with performances and colorful fireworks under the starry sky. Overnight at a Mongolian Yurt, enjoying a unique traditional atmosphere.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise at the Xilamuren Grassland, a truly spectacular sight. Return to the city of Hohhot and visit Genghis Khan Square, an iconic square that perpetuates the legend of the great Mongolian conqueror. After a Halal lunch, visit Hohhot Grand Mosque, the oldest and largest mosque in the region featuring classic Islamic architecture. Continue a leisurely stroll along Kuanxiangzi Food Street full of local aroma and atmosphere, before closing the day at Zhongshan West Road Shopping Street, the best place for shopping while enjoying the colorful night panorama of Hohhot.
After breakfast, the trip continues to the Shenquan Gobi Desert, about 100km from the city. Here, you will experience the uniqueness of the combination of golden sand and endless blue sky. Experience the thrill of desert activities such as camel riding, sand sliding, and driving a 4WD car on the dunes — an experience that is sure to be unforgettable! On the way back to Hohhot, stop at Mengliang National Cultural Park, explore the history and ethnic culture of Mongolia. Overnight at Xiangtai Hotel or equivalent.
This morning you will board the high-speed train back to Beijing. Upon arrival, continue to the Summer Palace, a Qing Dynasty royal garden surrounded by beautiful lakes and hills, symbolizing the luxury of the past. Then, stroll down Wangfujing Street, Beijing's most famous shopping street, full of boutiques and local Halal food. Enjoy a Halal dinner before returning to the hotel to rest.
After breakfast, the tour continues to the Great Wall of China at Juyongguan, a symbol of Chinese national resilience and an architectural wonder of the ancient world (no cable provided). On the way back, enjoy a photo session outside Bird's Nest Stadium and Water Cube, two iconic Beijing Olympic landmarks. A hearty Halal Hotpot dinner completes your day.
