Itinerary
The tour starts in the Croatian capital, Zagreb. Participants will visit the Dolac Bazaar, the most popular traditional market, before stopping by the Lotrscak Tower and Ban Jelacis Square, the historic center of the city. The journey continues toSt. Markis famous for its colorful roof and theIslamic Center and Mosque as the center of the Muslim community. Then, participants were taken to enjoy the beauty ofPlitvice Lakes National Park, famous for its clear blue lakes and beautiful waterfalls. Overnight inBihac.
This morning participants headed to Jajce to take photos at Pliva Waterfall and see the unique Watermill Open Air Museum. Then on to Travnik to visit the Castle of Travnik which is located on the hill and the Sulejmanija Mosque which was built in the 18th century. In the afternoon, participants enjoyed the natural atmosphere at Vrelo Bosne and visited the Tunnel of Hope, a historic tunnel from the Bosnian War. Overnight in Sarajevo
The tour starts in Sarajevo, where participants have the opportunity to shop at the Bascarsija Bazaar and take photos at the Sebilj Fountain, a symbol of the old town. Participants will also visit the Gazi Husrev-Bey Mosque, Sahat Kula (historical clock tower), as well as the iconic Sarajevo City Hall (Vijecnica). The journey continues to Mostar, visiting the historic bridge Mostar Bridge, then shopping at Kujundziluk Bazaar. Participants were also taken to the Turkish House, Koski Mehmad Pasha Mosque, and Bey Mosque, enjoying the architectural heritage of the Ottomans. Overnight inMostar.
Today participants headed to Dubrovnik, the city known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic". Here participants will walk in the Old City of Dubrovnik, visiting the City Walls, the Onofrio Fountain, the Rector's Palace which is now a museum, and the historic Clock Tower. The classic old town atmosphere makes Dubrovnik one of the most beautiful destinations in Europe. Overnight inTrebinje.
The journey continues to Montenegro, starting in Kotor. Participants will visit Old Town of Kotor, St. Tryphon’s Cathedral, Kotor City Walls, Clock Tower, and the Square of Arms which is full of cafes and shops. Then to Budva, visiting Land Gate, Ancient Necropolis, and The Fortress. Participants also have the opportunity to see the Ballerina Statue and relax on Mogren Beach which is famous for its white sand. Overnight inShkoder.
After breakfast, participants headed to the capital of Albania, Tirana, visiting the Ethem Bey Mosque, Skanderbeg Square and Skanderbeg Monument. Then the journey continues to North Macedonia, heading toOhrid. Here, participants will visit the Old Bazaar, Ali Pasha Mosque, Chinar Square, Upper Gate, and the Ancient Macedonian Theater. The beauty of the old city of Ohrid surrounded by lakes makes it one of the main attractions of the Balkans. Overnight in Ohrid.
This morning participants stopped in Tetovo to see the colorful Sarena Painted Mosque. The tour continues to the capital of North Macedonia,Skopje. Here participants will visit Kale Fortress, Stone Bridge, Macedonia Square, Alexander The Great Statue, and Daut Pasha Hammam which now functions as an art gallery. After the visit, participants moved to the airport for their return flight to Kuala Lumpur via transit in Istanbul.
Arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport full of wonderful memories of the journey through the historic cities and the amazing views of the Balkans.
