Itinerary
Upon arrival at Miri City Airport at 11:20 AM, you will be greeted and transferred to enjoy a delicious local lunch. Afterward, embark on a journey to Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei. Your first stop will be a visit to the Water Village (Kampong Ayer), often referred to as the "Venice of the East." This centuries-old settlement is home to thousands of houses built on stilts above the Brunei River. Here, you will also have the chance to take a boat ride to spot the elusive Proboscis Monkey, a unique species native to Borneo, known for its distinctive long nose and reddish-brown fur. As evening falls, enjoy a delightful dinner before heading to the vibrant Gadong Night Market, a bustling hub where you can explore a variety of local delicacies, fresh fruits, and traditional Bruneian street food. The market is an excellent place to immerse yourself in Brunei’s local culture and culinary scene. Afterward, check in to your accommodation at either Higher Hotel or Wafa Hotel, where you can relax and unwind for the night.

After breakfast at the hotel, your Brunei city tour begins at Tamu Kianggeh, a traditional open-air market that has been a favorite among locals for generations. Next, visit the iconic Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in Southeast Asia. This architectural masterpiece, built on an artificial lagoon, features Italian marble, golden domes, and intricate mosaic designs. Nearby, take a stroll through the Eco Corridor, a picturesque riverside park designed to enhance the natural beauty of the capital. Proceed to the Yayasan Shopping Complex, a popular shopping center offering a mix of international brands and local products. Here, you can enjoy some leisure time browsing for souvenirs or relaxing with a coffee.
After lunch, continue to Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, the largest and grandest mosque in Brunei, known for its stunning golden domes and intricate Islamic architecture. This mosque was built to honor Brunei’s 29th Sultan and is a significant landmark in the city. Following that, make a photo stop at Istana Nurul Iman, the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei. As the largest residential palace in the world, it is a sight to behold, especially when viewed from a scenic vantage point. Before concluding your trip, take some time to explore Gadong Mall, one of Brunei’s premier shopping destinations, offering a variety of retail stores, dining options, and entertainment facilities. By 3:00 PM, you will be transferred back to Miri, marking the end of your memorable journey in Brunei.
