Visit Senate Square, a historic and architecturally significant area, and admire the grandeur of Helsinki Cathedral. Continue to the remarkable Sibelius Monument, dedicated to Finland’s most famous composer, and experience the awe-inspiring Rock Church, carved into solid rock. Drive through the picturesque Art Nouveau districts by the seafront before enjoying leisure time for shopping at the market square and boutiques along Esplanade Avenue. Later in the evening, board the overnight sleeper train IC265 to Rovaniemi, departing at 7:29 PM.

Arrive in Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland and the ‘Official Hometown of Santa Claus’. Begin the day with a visit to the enchanting Santa Claus Village, where you can explore unique souvenir stores, visit the Santa Claus Main Post Office, and officially cross the Arctic Circle. Experience a magical moment as you meet Santa Claus himself and send postcards with the famous Arctic Circle postmark.

Next, embark on a 30-minute Reindeer Ride, a traditional Lappish method of transportation. Glide through the pristine, snowy landscape at a steady pace, making it an ideal experience for photography enthusiasts. Learn about the centuries-old practice of reindeer herding, an integral part of the indigenous Sami culture, and interact with local herders who will share stories about their way of life. Enjoy the unique experience of feeding the reindeer and savor a warm drink with Finnish pulla (sweet buns) in a cozy setting.

Transfer to the hotel for check-in and rest. Later in the evening, prepare for the mesmerizing Aurora Hunting session at the Arctic Snow Hotel, taking advantage of its prime location for Northern Lights sightings. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an optional Snowmobile Safari at 9:00 AM (cost excluded). Experience the thrill of driving a snowmobile through the Arctic wilderness, navigating through snow-covered forests and frozen lakes. This adventure offers an exhilarating way to explore the beauty of Lapland.

Spend free time in the city center before heading to a Husky Safari at 4:00 PM. Meet an enthusiastic team of huskies and enjoy an exhilarating ride through the winter landscape. Learn about the training and daily lives of these hardworking sled dogs in Finnish Lapland.

At 5:30 PM, proceed to the Arctic Snow Hotel, one of Finland’s most famous ice hotels. Explore its unique ice rooms, Ice Bar, Ice Restaurant, and Ice Sauna, where everything is made of snow and ice. Conclude the evening with a delightful Lappish dinner by an open fire at Kota Restaurant before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.

In Inari, visit the SIIDA Museum, the National Museum of the Finnish Sami, to gain insight into the rich history, traditions, and art of the indigenous Sami people. Later, transfer to Saariselkä, one of the best locations in Finnish Lapland for Northern Lights viewing. Enjoy free time to explore the town at your leisure before settling in for the night.

After breakfast, journey further north, crossing the border into Finnmark County, Norway. Make a stop in Karasjok, the Sami capital of Norway, home to the Sami Parliament and Sami Library. Enjoy an authentic halal local lunch before continuing to Alta, a prime destination for Northern Lights sightings. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and explore the city center or visit the Cathedral of the Northern Lights in the evening.

Take a scenic stop at Frozen Waterfalls in Kåfjord for a spectacular photo opportunity. In the afternoon, enjoy free time in Alta’s city center for shopping. As night falls, seize another opportunity to witness the Northern Lights before retiring for the night.

After breakfast, drive along the Arctic fjords en route to Tromsø, a historic city known as the Gateway to the Arctic. Upon arrival, check into the city-center hotel and prepare for another Aurora Borealis Hunt in the evening. Our experienced coach captain will take you to the best possible locations for Northern Lights viewing. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Then, enjoy a panoramic cable car ride (subject to availability) for stunning views of the city, fjords, and surrounding mountains. Spend free time exploring Tromsø shopping street before another night of Northern Lights hunting.
