10H9M Yunnan: Kunming, Dali, Lijiang & Shangri-La

On arrival at Kunming Changshui International Airport, you will be greeted by a tour representative before being taken to the hotel for check-in at the Hotel. No meals are provided today, and you are free to rest after a long journey.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will take a high-speed train to Dali. On arrival in Dali, you will visit Dali Ancient City, a historical city of the Bai ethnic group known for its well-preserved architecture and rich local culture. Hotel check-in at Dali Tongxintang Hotel (or equivalent) and enjoy lunch and dinner.

After breakfast, the day continues with a visit to the Erhai Ecological Corridor, a beautiful walking and cycling route along Lake Erhai. Next, you'll head to S Bay, a popular photo location that offers stunning lake and mountain views. The tour continues to the Xizhou Ancient City, famous for its traditional Bai ethnic houses and local markets. You will also have the opportunity to try the traditional Bai tie-dye art for yourself at Zhoucheng Tie-dye. In the afternoon, move to Lijiang Ancient City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring narrow alleyways, stone bridges, and Naxi architecture. Overnight at Dali Tongxintang Hotel (or equivalent).

After breakfast, the tour begins with a visit to the Shaxi Ancient City, a famous ancient trading stop on the Tea and Horse Route. Then, you will be transferred to Lijiang. Once there, you are free to explore Lijiang Old Town, famous for its beautiful canals, cobbled streets, and traditional teahouses. Overnight at Lijiang Longyaoxiang Hotel (or equivalent).

Breakfast is provided at the hotel before you start your tour to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, a 5,596-meter peak that is covered in glaciers and rich in flora and fauna. Take the Yunshanping Cable Car to enjoy the amazing view from the top. Then, watch the outdoor mega performance Impression Lijiang Show, directed by famous director Zhang Yimou, which presents Naxi culture. The day ends with a visit to Shuhe Ancient Town, a quiet village that showcases traditional wooden houses and beautiful bridges. Overnight at Lijiang Longyaoxiang Hotel (or equivalent).

After breakfast, the journey continues to Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest canyons in the world famous for its turbulent rapids and steep cliffs. Then, move to Shangri-La (4–5 hours drive). There, you will visit the Dukezong Ancient Town, a Tibetan-style old town featuring the world's largest prayer wheel and stunning mountain views. Overnight at Shangri-La Hotel Shujin Muyun (or equivalent).

Breakfast at the hotel before visiting Lake Napa, a stunning seasonal wetland that is home to yaks, black-necked cranes, and stunning views of the highlands. Next, return to Lijiang and take the high-speed train to Kunming. Check in again to the Kunming GONGXILI Hotel (or equivalent) for the night.

After breakfast, you are free to explore Kunming at your own convenience for two days. You can buy souvenirs, try local food, or visit additional attractions such as gardens and traditional markets. Overnight at Kunming GONGXILI Hotel (or equivalent).
