Itinerary
Gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to board the flight to Guangzhou. Once there, visit Saad Abi Waqas Mosque, also known as Xianxian Mosque, which is the largest mosque in Guangzhou. This historical place houses the tomb of a highly respected Muslim scholar and is located in a quiet area with shady trees and a green garden. This mosque has great religious significance and attracts visitors from all over China and abroad, especially for Friday prayers. After the tour, depart for Guilin by High Speed Train. Upon arrival in Guilin, check into the hotel and rest. Overnight in Guilin.
Today the tour starts at Chongshan Mosque, a historic mosque in Xiangshan District that was built in 1735 during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty. This mosque is proof of the existence and development of the Muslim community in Guilin since hundreds of years ago. Next, participants will enjoy the natural beauty of the Shangri-La Scenic Area, an area featuring karst mountains, caves, rivers and mesmerizing traditional Chinese architecture.
The journey continues to Yangshuo Xingping Ancient Town, an ancient city famous for its beautiful view of the Li River and rows of karst peaks. Here, participants can witness the iconic view of the bend of the Li River which is also immortalized on the 20 yuan banknote. As the highlight of the tour, participants will take a Li River Cruise, a beautiful cruise that takes guests down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo while enjoying the karst panorama that is a symbol of the region's beauty.
Start the day with a visit to the Elephant Belly Hill, an iconic Guilin landmark shaped like an elephant drinking from the Li River. Next, explore the Buluh Seruling Cave, a stunning limestone cave with numerous stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient rock formations. Inside, there are more than 70 inscriptions dating back to the Tang Dynasty (792 AD). The tour continues to Zhengyang Pedestrian Street, a 1,000-year-old trading center that has been a center of business and culture since the Tang Dynasty. Today, it remains a lively shopping district with a variety of food stalls, fashion boutiques, and entertainment. Next, visit Kawasan Indah Shangri-La, a cultural theme park featuring the stunning natural landscape and traditional ethnic lifestyle of the area. Then, enjoy the beauty of Sun & Moon Pagoda, also known as Gold and Silver Pagoda, located on Fir Lake (Shanhu). The Sun Pagoda, made of bronze, is the tallest of its kind in the world and has an elevator inside. At night, the light that illuminates this pagoda creates a captivating reflection on the surface of the water. Finally, visit the Xingping Yangshuo Ancient Town, where well-preserved old architecture, cobbled streets, and historic houses provide a classic atmosphere of the past. Before returning to Guilin, take a stroll along the East & West Corridor, the only historical street that still exists from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, famous for its traditional architecture and charming old paths. Return to Guilin for the night.
Start the day with a visit to the Liusanjie Grand View Park, where tourists can immerse themselves in the culture of the Zhuang, Dong, Yao, and Miao ethnic groups. The park is themed around Liu San Jie, a legendary girl famous for her melodious voice. His story is well known among the Zhuang community and became famous throughout China after the release of a film about it in 1960. Next, visit the Huaisheng Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in China with great religious and historical significance. After the tour, depart for Guangzhou by High Speed Rail. Overnight in Guangzhou.
Explore Guangzhou with a visit to the Guangzhou New TV Tower (Canton Tower), the city's iconic landmark. Located on the south bank of the Pearl River, opposite Haixinsha Island, it is the tallest TV tower in China and the third tallest in the world. Visitors can explore the shopping area, enjoy a meal at a romantic restaurant serving fine cuisine, as well as enjoy the city view from the observation deck. Next, visit the White Horse Clothing Market, one of the most famous and popular clothing wholesale markets in Guangzhou, located opposite the Guangzhou Railway Station. Then, continue to Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, one of the three busiest commercial centers in Liwan District. This road is 1,240 meters long across Shangjiu Road, Xiajiu Road, and No. 10, is filled with shops offering affordable fashion as well as restaurants serving a variety of delicious local dishes. Overnight in Guangzhou.
Start the last day with a visit to Yue Xiu Park & Five Goats Statue, which combines cultural heritage and ecological tourism. The park is famous for its beautiful lakes and hills that are rich in history. Major attractions include the Five Goats Stone Sculpture, Zhenhai Tower, the remains of the Ming Dynasty City Wall, and the Cannon Square Site. After the tour, depart for the airport for the return flight to Kuala Lumpur.
