Itinerary
On arrival at Amman Airport, you will be greeted and assisted by representatives from Highlands. Our journey begins with a visit to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth which is more than 400 meters below sea level. Its extremely salty water allows anyone to float easily, while its mineral-rich black mud is known for its therapeutic and cosmetic benefits. After enjoying the uniqueness of this natural wonder, we continue our journey to the Tomb of Prophet Sho'ayb (A.S), a prophet who is respected for his wisdom and guidance. Next, we return to Amman for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we start the day by visiting the Tomb of Prophet Yousha' Bin Nun (A.S), a close friend of Prophet Musa (A.S) and the leader of the Bani Israel after his death. He is known as Joshua in the texts of previous books and is the great-grandson of Prophet Yusuf (A.S). Next, we head to the Jordan Valley to visit the Tomb of Abu Ubaidah Amer Bin Jarrah, a major commander in the Caliph al-Rasyidin army and one of the ten companions who were promised heaven by the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). After exploring these historic sites, we return to Amman for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we visit the Ashabul Kahfi Cave, where a group of pious young men sought refuge from the tyranny of a ruler. According to Islamic tradition, Allah (S.W.T) put them to sleep for 309 years. Their story is mentioned in Surah Al-Kahfi in the Quran. This cave is located in Abu Alanda, Amman. Then, we move south to visit the Battlefield of Mu'tah, the location of the historic battle that took place in 629 AD between the Muslim army and the Eastern Roman Empire. Here, we also have the opportunity to visit the Tombs of Friends Zaid Bin Harithah, Ja'far At-Tayyar and Abdullah Bin Rawahah, who were martyred in this battle. After visiting these historical places, we return to Amman for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, we move east to explore the Jordan Desert Palace, a collection of fortified palaces built during the Umayyad period in the Bilad Ash-Sham region. These palaces played an important role in early Islamic civilization. Next, we visit The Last Living Friend Tree, the place where Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is believed to have rested during his journey to Syria. This tree still stands firm and is a witness to the history of Islam. We end the day by returning to the hotel in Amman for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we visit the Tombs of Friends Abdulrahman Bin Auf and Bilal Bin Rabah, two prominent companions of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Then, we continue our journey to the Yarmouk Battlefield, the site of a major battle that took place in August 636 AD between the Byzantine Empire and the Caliphate of al-Rasyidin. This battle lasted for six days and ended in a great victory for the Muslims, marking the beginning of the rapid development of Islam in the region. After this insightful visit, we return to Amman for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
On the last day, we embark on the Amman City Panorama Tour, exploring the main landmarks of this Jordanian capital. After appreciating the beauty and history of the city, we depart for Amman Airport for our return flight, marking the end of a meaningful journey through Jordan's Islamic heritage.
