Itinerary
Upon arrival at Amman Airport, you will be warmly greeted and assisted by the Highlands representative. We then begin our journey with a visit to The Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, sitting more than 400 meters below sea level. This salt lake is famous for its hypersaline waters, making floating effortless, and its mineral-rich black mud, which is widely used in therapeutic and cosmetic treatments. After enjoying the unique experience at the Dead Sea, we proceed to visit Makam Prophet Sho’ayb (Upon Him Be Peace), the resting place of the prophet known in Islamic tradition as the father-in-law of Prophet Musa (Moses). After the visit, we return to our hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we begin our day by visiting Makam Prophet Yousha’ Bin Noon (Upon Him Be Peace). He was a close companion of Prophet Musa (Upon Him Be Peace) and succeeded him as the leader of Bani Israel. Known as Joshua in the Bible, he was the great-grandson of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph, Upon Him Be Peace). We then proceed to Jordan Valley to visit the Makam of Companion Abu Obaidah Amer Bin Jarrah, a distinguished companion of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). Abu Obaidah was a key military commander during the Rashidun Caliphate and was one of the appointed successors to the Caliphate by Caliph Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. After exploring these sacred sites, we return to our hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we visit the Cave of the Seven Sleepers (As-hab Al-Kahf), located in Abu Alanda, Amman. This sacred cave is where a group of pious youths sought refuge from a tyrannical pagan king. According to Islamic tradition, Allah caused them to sleep for 309 years, as mentioned in Surah Al-Kahf of the Quran. Our journey then takes us south to the historic Mu’tah Battle Field, where the Battle of Mu’tah took place in 629 CE between the Muslim forces of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Byzantine army. The battle, fought near the village of Mu’tah, was significant in early Islamic military history. We then visit the Makam of Companions Zaid Bin Harethah, Ja’far Al-Tayyar, and Abdullah Bin Rawaha, the three brave leaders of the Muslim army who were martyred in this battle. After paying our respects, we return to our hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay
After breakfast, we embark on a journey to the Desert Castles of Jordan, which are a remarkable part of Islamic history. These fortified palaces, built during the Umayyad period, are scattered across the arid regions of eastern Jordan. They reflect a unique blend of Islamic and Persian architectural styles. Our next stop is the Last Living Sahabah Tree, a sacred tree under which Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) rested during his journey to Syria as a young merchant. This tree, miraculously still alive today, stands as a historical witness to the Prophet’s early life. After this spiritually enriching experience, we return to our hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we spend our final day visiting the Makam of Companion Abdulrahman Bin Awf, a wealthy and generous companion of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) who played a crucial role in the economic development of the early Muslim community. We also visit the Makam of Companion Bilal Bin Rabah, the Prophet’s beloved muezzin (caller to prayer) and one of the first converts to Islam. After these visits, we transfer to Amman Airport for our flight departure, concluding our spiritually enriching journey in Jordan.
