Day 1

Participants gathered at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 1) for the international flight to Madrid, Spain. This flight will transit in Istanbul before continuing to the main destination. During the flight, participants have the opportunity to relax and enjoy the facilities provided on the plane.

Day 2

Start your tour of Madrid by visiting Gran Via, an iconic street famous for shopping and entertainment, often referred to as the "Broadway of Spain." Admire the beauty of the Cibeles Fountain, a neoclassical landmark on the Plaza de Cibeles, as well as the Neptune Fountain, a tribute to the Roman god of the sea. Spend some relaxing time at the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor, two busy squares adjacent to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the Spanish royal family. Experience spiritual tranquility at the Madrid Central Mosque, an important Islamic center since 1988. End the day with shopping at the Las Rozas Village Outlet, which offers luxury brands such as Armani, Coach and Ralph Lauren at discounts of up to 60%. Overnight in Madrid.

Depart for Toledo, a historic city known for its well-preserved Islamic heritage. Pass the Puerta de Bisagra, a magnificent gate from the 10th century during the Moorish Taifa era. Visit the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz, an architectural gem from 999 that was later converted into a church. Admire the Alcantara Bridge, a medieval stone bridge that spans the Tagus River. Spend free time at Plaza de Zocodover, a great place to shop and enjoy the city's uniqueness.


Next, visit Merida, an ancient Roman city, and explore the Temple of Diana, a well-preserved Roman relic, Porch of The The Forum, a first-century public space with tall columns, the Alcazaba, the first Moorish fortress in Spain built by Abd ar-Rahman II in 855, as well as the Arch of Trajan, a 15-meter-high Roman gate. Then, continue to Lisbon, Portugal, for an overnight stay.

Start the day by visiting the Jeronimos Monastery, an impressive piece of architecture that symbolizes Portugal's history. Explore the Belem Tower, a historic fortress that once protected the port of Lisbon, and the Monument of the Discoveries, a monument honoring Portuguese explorers who opened trade routes in the 15th century. Pray at the Central Mosque of Lisbon, one of the largest mosques in Europe built in 1985. Enjoy a relaxing time at Rossio Square and Praca do Comercio, and shop at the Freeport Fashion Outlet. Overnight in Lisbon.

Cross the border of Spain and arrive in the city of Seville. Visit the Torre del Oro, a 36 meter high watchtower built in 1220 by the Almohad Dynasty. Walk around the Plaza de Espana, a stunning square decorated with tiles, fountains, and murals depicting the history of the region of Spain. Admire the Giralda Tower, originally the call to prayer tower of the great mosque of Seville, and explore the Royal Alcazar of Seville, a Moorish palace from the 10th century that later became a royal residence after the Christian conquest in 1248. Overnight in Seville.

Travel to Cordoba, a city rich in Islamic history. Visit the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, one of the largest mosques in Europe that was later converted into a church but still retains its Quranic inscriptions, intricate architectural columns, and charming mihrabs. Walk across the Roman Bridge, a first-century structure that spans the Guadalquivir River, and admire the Calahorra Tower, a medieval fortress built by the Almohad Dynasty. Continue to Granada for the night.

Visit the Alhambra Palace, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture that was originally built as a fortress in the 9th century and then turned into a royal palace in the 11th century. Explore The Generalife, the summer retreat of Nasrid rulers adorned with beautiful gardens. Walk in the Albayzin Muslim Quarters, the oldest neighborhood of Granada that still retains the authenticity of Moorish architecture. Visit the Grand Mosque of Granada, which was completed in 2003 and offers stunning views towards the Alhambra. In the evening, take a ferry from Tarifa across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier, Morocco, for an overnight stay.

Arrive in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, and visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, an 11th-century fortress that offers Andalusian-style gardens and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. Visit the Hassan Tower, an unfinished prayer tower from a 12th-century mosque project, as well as the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, a beautiful royal tomb completed in 1971. See the Royal Palace, the official residence of the king of Morocco since 1864. Overnight at Rabat.

Day 9

Experience the uniqueness of Jemaa el-Fnaa, the bustling center of Marrakesh with food vendors, street entertainers and traditional markets. Visit the Bahia Palace, a magnificent 19th-century residence with stunning decorations, and enjoy the beauty of the Koutoubia Mosque, a historic mosque with a 77-meter-high minaret that was the inspiration for the design of the Giralda Tower in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rebate. Overnight in Marrakesh.

In Casablanca, visit the Hassan II Mosque, the seventh largest mosque in the world with a capacity of up to 105,000 pilgrims. Its 210 meter high tower is the second tallest in the world. Depart back to Kuala Lumpur via Istanbul.

Arriving at KLIA 1, marks the end of a journey full of history, culture, and spiritual experiences in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
