Itinerary
Gather at KLIA for the international flight to Johannesburg, via a stopover in Dubai. Throughout the flight, enjoy entertainment facilities and international cuisine on board. Upon arrival in South Africa, you will be warmly welcomed by local representatives before being taken to your hotel for check-in and rest after a long journey. The first night in Johannesburg gives time to prepare for tomorrow's colorful adventure.
After breakfast, get ready to explore Soweto Township, a historic area that became a symbol of South Africa's freedom struggle. Witness the life of the local community full of passion and unique culture. The tour continues to the Nelson Mandela House, the residence of this famous former president, and the Apartheid Museum which displays the story of the nation's struggle against discrimination. Later, free time at Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton's famous shopping center and landmark, before returning to the hotel to rest.
After breakfast, depart for the airport for the domestic flight to Cape Town. Once there, you will be greeted by a local tour guide and embark on a scenic drive through Clarence Drive, a coastal drive known for its dramatic views of the blue ocean and steep cliffs. Arrive at Hermanus, a seaside town known for its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. Check in to the hotel and take a brief city orientation tour before dinner at a local restaurant.
Breakfast at the hotel, then continue your tour around Hermanus, which is famous as one of the best locations in the world to see whales. Enjoy lunch at Bientang’s Cave Restaurant, a unique restaurant located in a cave overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. (Additional options) Take awhale watching tripby boat to see these majestic mammals up close, or take a leisurely walk along theHermanus coastal cliffs which offer stunning panoramas. Enjoy the romantic atmosphere by the sea before spending the night at the hotel.
After breakfast, the journey continues to Aquila Private Game Reserve, a private safari area known for its luxurious experiences and breathtaking views of the savannah. On arrival, enjoy lunch and prepare for an afternoon safari in a special vehicle across vast grasslands in search of the Big 5 – lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo. After the activity, relax at Karoo Cottages while enjoying dinner in a peaceful safari atmosphere.
Start the day with a morning safari for the last chance to see wild animals active early in the day. After that, depart back to Cape Town. Upon arrival, you will be taken to the colorful Bo Kaap area, famous for its beautiful pastel houses and the culture of the Cape Malay community. Join a traditional Cape Malay cooking class with Chef Faeeza and learn the secrets of local dishes such as samosa and curry. Then, a visit to the diamond and tanzanite workshop to see the precious stone cutting process. Before returning to the hotel, stop at Ostrich Farm to feed and interact with the ostriches.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to the Cape Peninsula, one of the most scenic routes in the world. Enjoy a drive through Chapman's Peak Drive, which winds along the edge of the cliff with stunning ocean views. Explore Cape Point Nature Reserve, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, and a visit to Boulders Beach, home to an adorable colony of African penguins. (Additional option) Enjoy a Seal Island Cruise to see sea lions in their natural habitat. End the day with shopping and relaxation at the V&A Waterfront, a modern harbor area with a variety of luxury boutiques, restaurants and yacht views.
Breakfast at the hotel and head to Table Mountain, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, to take the cable car to the top. From the top, enjoy beautiful views of Cape Town, the blue sea, and historic Robben Island. Next, free time to buy souvenirs before leaving for Cape Town International Airport for the return flight to Kuala Lumpur.
